eckersell funeral home - Learn All About Funerals

This is perhaps one of the most difficult moments in one's life. Writing a poem for parent's funeral can be near impossible, you've just lost one or both of the most loving people in the world and writing a funeral poem is probably going to be impossible.

Still others choose to hold a memorial service following the burial in a place special to the deceased. The speaker has to be careful how to represent the loved one and should be aware they have the responsibility of keeping it light hearted. If you were very close to the person who died and you are expected to stand up in church or at the graveside to recite a poem, make sure that you have a supporter.

This is all very hard to do in the little amount of time you are actually giving the speech. Humor in good taste relieves stress and anxiety, and it's almost certain to be welcomed by the funeral guests. From the Bible or other religious texts to anthologies and websites of eulogy poetry and inspirational quotes, you may find the words you seek.

A little time and preparation in the writing stage can make a huge difference in the impact of your delivery and can help you and your friends and family in their time of need. I know some of what you are feeling right now which is why I wrote these articles.
