sam cooke funeral

A statement, also known as a eulogy or a religious tribute to a deceased person, is not easy for most people to write or think of. Many others actually make their own funeral arrangements prior to their death including all of the details most important to them.

The best source of funeral information, of course, can be found through funeral homes. In trying times it can be a struggle to keep your composure, however making notes will help you focus. Read through the funeral poem several times (out loud) before the funeral so that you feel comfortable with the words.

This part can take the form of a narrative, the way that the person's history did, or several people can get up to talk about their memories of the deceased. Typically, a eulogy runs around five to ten minutes in length. Look at your local bookstore for poetry books that have memorial or condolence poems included or search online for posted poetry.

Remember to prepare and organize your thoughts. Draft your eulogy then try to edit and polish your work.
